SWEEPS - Check it out
Did you happen to notice that our March 18th sweeps results were immediately     posted to the Members section (Wmn 9'er) page by John Williston?  We thank Henni for submitting the results in such a timely fashion and for showing us how valuable this "instant reporting" medium is.    Yes indeed, Technology is a wonderful thing!  We will continue to post at the East Pro Shop as well as our Website and Oakmont News.

WRENS NEWS -March 25th
The Oakmont WRENS "Q-Tees" welcomed 19 ladies from Buckingham, Foxtail, Hidden Valley Lake, Rob Roy, and Ukiah for a 2010 Breakfast planning meeting.  We then headed to the links with 11 Oakmont ladies leading our visitors around the course.  Unfortunately sunshine quickly turned into a downpour followed with teasing sun and then more rain.  Those who "toughed it out" were greeted at the Quail Inn by some pretty happy friends who were keeping warm and cozy.   There will be six more fun events with the WRENS this year with signup sheets being posted for the April 22nd Foxtail Invitational very soon.  If you haven't joined the WRENS yet, dues are only $4 for the year, be sure to check out the bulletin board or contact Janet Siela for information.

PUBLICITY
To our wonderful Lady Niners, is there anyone interested in writing articles for the Oakmont News?  It's a great way to support the club and learn how to communicate the exciting news of your sweeps and luncheons.  You can contact Captain Rebecca; she's an enthusiastic leader and would love to share this position with other talented members.

 EVENTS
April Eclectic Tournament (East Course) began on Thursday the 1st with us playing again on the 8th and 15th.  Stay tuned, the results for this challenging event will be posted to our website and will appear in the May 1st edition of Oakmont News.  Speaking of events, don't forget to get signed up for our May 6th, Guys, Gals and Pals Tournament and Luncheon.  Our theme is Kentucky Derby.  A 8:30 AM shotgun start begins the day with an Alternate Shot tournament followed by party time at the Quail Inn beginning at Noon.  This year we celebrate renowned Kentucky Oaks filled with Thoroughbreds, Silks & Hats and Garlands of Roses in a Niner version of "Run for the Crown!"  Deadline for sign-ups will be April 23rd.  Tournament will be limited to 108 players.  Luncheon will be limited to 120 attendees.   Contact Rebecca Wellman or JoAnn Banayat for further information.
